A LITTLE CLARITY
Terms & conditions
A little clarity about playing, purchases, and the places Iris can take you.
1. About Iris and these terms
Iris is a color puzzle app for iPhone and iPad. This website introduces the app and includes a small browser-based demonstration. These terms describe the conditions for using Iris and this website. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
Use the app and website only if you can accept these terms under the law that applies to you. If you are not old enough to consent to a purchase or agreement yourself, involve a parent or guardian.
2. Your use of the app and website
You may use Iris and this website for personal, lawful enjoyment. Unless a separate custom license is supplied with the app, the App Store application is licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple’s applicable usage rules and App Store terms also apply.
These website terms do not replace or reduce rights you have under the app’s applicable license or mandatory consumer law. If there is a conflict about the licensed iOS app, its applicable App Store license governs that issue.
Do not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it to distribute unlawful or harmful content. Intellectual property rights in Iris’s design, code, and original content remain with their respective owners. Third-party fonts and other licensed materials remain subject to their own licenses.
3. Free levels and the full journey
The first 20 numbered levels are free. A one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase unlocks the complete 100-level journey. The daily Moment is free. This purchase is not a subscription and does not create recurring charges.
The App Store shows the price in your region and currency before you confirm a purchase. Apple processes the payment under its terms. Access depends on a valid purchase associated with the Apple Account used for that purchase; a refunded or revoked purchase may no longer provide access.
You can use “Restore Purchases” in Iris Settings with the same Apple Account to restore an eligible purchase. Restoring a purchase restores access to the unlocked levels; it does not restore deleted local progress. Refund requests for purchases billed by Apple are handled through Apple’s refund process, subject to applicable consumer rights.
Any future, separately offered content or products will be described before purchase. Nothing on this site promises a particular future release or a lifetime of software updates.
4. Progress, availability, and updates
Iris saves your progress on your device. Deleting the app, losing or replacing the device, or losing local app data may remove that progress. The app does not provide an Iris account or an Iris-operated cloud-save service. Your operating system’s backup and restore features are separate.
Puzzles can be played offline. Downloading or updating the app, purchasing, restoring purchases, or verifying App Store access may require an internet connection and available Apple services.
Features and device requirements may change over time. We aim to preserve saved progress, but cannot promise that the app or website will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every future device or operating-system version. Any changes remain subject to rights you have under applicable law.
5. A game, not medical advice
Iris is designed for recreation and the enjoyment of observing color. References to calm, relaxation, or training your eye for color describe the play experience. Iris is not a medical device, clinical vision test, or treatment for a health condition, and does not promise to improve eyesight or mental health.
Use the app comfortably and take breaks when needed. Decorative motion can be reduced using your device’s accessibility settings; this website also includes a pause-motion control. Color-based puzzles may not be equally distinguishable to every player.
6. Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains local game data, App Store purchases, optional support messages, and this website’s hosting. Please read it alongside these terms.
You choose whether to contact us or share a playtest report. Only send material you are entitled to share. A suggestion or support message does not create an obligation for us to implement a particular feature or release.
7. Responsibility and your legal rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and any free demonstration are provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation or a particular result. The applicable App Store license describes the app’s license and warranty provisions.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer protections. We remain responsible where the law requires it. You remain responsible for using the service lawfully and protecting access to your device and Apple Account.
External links are provided for convenience. Third-party services, including Apple’s services and your email provider, are governed by their own terms.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Iris or this website changes. The effective date above identifies the version. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law, and changes will not remove rights that the law protects.
If something is unclear or has gone wrong, please contact [email protected]. We would like the chance to help.
